Our journey began nearly 40 years ago when Craig Harriss started fishing the Tasmanian waters at the age of 16. In January 1994, our boat, the Mary H, was purchased and has since been berthed between St Helens and Devonport. With Craig's extensive experience in fishing and lifelong industry connections, combined with Judy's background in cooking and hospitality, Strait Off The Boat was established in 2011. In early 2024, Judy passed the baton to their son, Anthony Harriss, ensuring the continuation of our family's commitment to providing the best Tasmanian seafood for generations to come .​Strait off the boat.
